The Candor man approaches Carlo and Oceana. "You two. With me. Kimnary has you ordered for examination before she decides what to do with you."

Oceana looks at Carlo sadly. "Not like we can put up much of a fight, right?"

Other Candor and Erudite come over to them as well. One of the Erudite takes Oceana's crutches. Carlo's gun is taken as well. They are then led towards another room. When they get there, Carlo looks around. It's the room where the initiates were given fear simualations, a single fear at a time. Carlo is forced in to the chair and strapped down. Then, someone comes in to the room. It's Harold. He has a syringe in his hand. He comes over to Carlo and inserts the needle into Carlos's neck, pushing down the plunger to insert the new serum. This serum is green, which is newly developed. Carlo's eyes close and he begins to have tremors. It's almost as if he was being tortured in his sleep. He lets out a loud scream and begins to shake violently.

"Well, Oceana. I thought I'd let you know that he is experiencing every bit of pain he has ever inflicted on someone. Any of it that involved killing someone will be a near death experience. Too many of those and he'll be dead. I wonder how much you actually know about him." Harold grins. He heads over to a computer and presses some buttons, bringing up a screen that shows what is happening to Carlo. It's the first event of him harming someone. His knife fight with Oceana.

After more and more of the pain, Carlo lets out the loudest scream that he could possibly muster. He was feeling the pain of when he stabbed Rosa in the throat. Harold glares at Carlo. "I think he's good. Stop the simulation. He'll be dead if we continue." Says Harold. Stopping the simulation, Carlo inhales harshly when he comes to. They let him out of the restraints and he runs over to Oceana, hugging her tight. "Osh, don't let them do anything else! They're going to kill me!" He whispers harshly.

Oceana is brought over to the chair and strapped in. Harold takes the needle and inserts it in her neck, pushing down the plunger. He turns on the screen and begins to watch.

Oceana was five. She was in a fight with a few of the Dauntless teens that have yet to go to the Choosing Ceremony. She was getting desperately beat up. The Dauntless leave, Oceana whimpering in pain where they left her. She staggers to her feet, and picks up one of the knives they left behind. She gripped it tightly and yells at the Dauntless. They laugh and head back, thinking she wants some more. In the end, three of the four Dauntless were laying on the ground, stabbed and unconcious. The other one ran away.

"Put me through it again! I don't care! Just let her go! You can't let her be hurt!" Carlo shouts at Harold. He lunges towards Harold and tackles him to the ground. Guards pull him off and one points a gun to Carlo's head.
"Take the girl out of the simulation. We don't want him doing anything. Just put him through it again tomorrow. For now, send him to a confined room. Up to you if you want them together or not." Harold orders one of the guards. One of the guards does as he is told and take Oceana out of the simulation. The Erudite holding the gun to Carlo leads him out the door and towards the room he was to be in until the next day.
The Candor compound all over again... |

Oceana is unconcious from the pain of the first one. They had pulled I her out before it showed that two of them had died from their injuries.

Carlo gives up fighting as he and Oceana are led to the room they will be in. It was all too similar to Candor, but this time, he could no longer fight back- or at least he didn't want to. He just wanted it all to be over with so they could both get out of there. ((OOC: Up to you if we go to Dauntless Headquarters or not)) They are shoved in the room and the door locked behind them. Carlo lies on the floor exactly where they pushed him. He stayed there, crying. It hurt too much. If he were to go through that again, he may die. He experienced not only the pain of Rosa's death, but of Ash's death and Flexitani's death. Even if you killed someone while under a simulation, you'd feel the pain as well. |
