Carlo sits back down. When he leans closer to the fire, he yells in pain. His stitches were ripping. The stretching to lean closer had ripped them, even though it wasn't much for movement. |

Carlo lifts his shirt to reveal the wound. The stitches are ripped and he's in pain. Then, he hears someone behind him.
"Do you need help?" The kind voice asks. "I'm Florence. Is there anything I can do?" |

"He appears to have been shot twice and attacked with a knife? I can try to help." Says the Abnegation girl, Florence. She had to have been about 18 years old.
Florence was a transfer to Abnegation from Erudite. She has always wanted to help people and thought that craving knowledge as much as the Erudite do was selfish. She leaves and comes back with what she needs to help Carlo. Ask she's helping him, Rowena and Bianca run over to them.
"We have to get out of here! The simulation is starting again. I saw some Candor back there- my mother was one of them. They're shooting at the factionless!" Rowena exclaims. |

Gun shots can be heard all around. There are screams and then, Carlo speaks up as he tries to run. "Amity is- safest. We need to- go- there." He says, pauses between his breaths until he collapses to the ground, passed out from pain and lack of air.

Oceana groaned and tried to pick him up, but couldn't. She ended up dragging him into an alley and behind a dumpster. She kept peeking her head around to see if anyone was coming near them.

A Candor comes around the corner with a gun. It's Rowena's mother and she's under the simulation. Aiming the gun at Oceana, she says, "The Divergent come with me."

"Found one!" Rowena's mother yells over to the other Candor. Two of them come over and Rowena's mother points to Carlo. They pick him up together and start to head off.
"Oceana!" Yells someone's voice. It's Rosa! She was looking for Oceana and had nearly been shot in the process. She was running in Oceana's direction. |

Rosa was unarmed. There was nothing she could do about those that had been taken.
Rowena's mother shoves the 'Divergent' in to the back of a large van. Closing the doors, she hops in the front of the vehicle and heads off towards Candor headquarters. |
