Oceana picks up Bianaca and heads to the operating room. She cusses under her breath and looks at the operation, seeing him knocked out and tied down.

"Please. He's my brother. I'm worried sick about him." Oceana gave the woman a pleading look. "Can I just stay here to make sure everything goes smoothly? Plus, I want to be a surgeon once we get to choose our jobs. I perfer watching about stuff rather than just reading."

The woman looks to the others and then looks back at Oceana. The woman nods. They turn back to the operation. They end up cutting open his foot and inserting some sort of metal disk. They poke around for a while and then give him the stitches. About an hour later, Carlo wakes up from the two-hour surgery. The operators clear out of the room after letting him out of his restraints. |

"What was that metal disk you put in him?" Oceana asked innocently. "Is it designed to help his foot or something? Can he walk properly, and if not, when? Is that common procedure?"

"It should make it so he can walk now. He may be a little out of it today though. He will be in some pain and the disk gives off electric impulses to help his brain function so that he won't go through with random actions such as shooting himself in the foot as he did." Says the woman from before. |

Oceana sprinted down the hall, Bianaca sitting on her hip. If they were able to access his most recent memories, then they would know that she was on the list of Divergent, despite not being one.

Carlo was running behind Oceana and then stopped in his tracks. He stands there and stares forwards, gun in his hand, aimed at Oceana. |

"Carlo, don't! Please!" Oceana said, stopping, having heard the gun being cocked back. She put Bianaca down and turned around.

Carlo doesn't shoot to kill, just to injure. He shoots the bullet towards Oceana's right arm. Bianca yells and runs off.

Oceana screams when the bullet hits her. She suddenly remembers being ten and getting a rusty bullet removed from the other arm. She looks at Carlo, covering the wound, shaking. "Carlo, snap out of it!"

Carlo lowers the gun and keeps walking, pushing past Oceana. He then comes across Bianca. He raises the gun and cocks it back. When he shoots, it hits her in the right arm as it did with Oceana. |
