Everyone, back in their beds (except Carlo, who had to stay in the infermery over night, but will be joining them shortly), gets the usual wake up call from their trainer to wake up. Today, they will be learning how to shoot a gun.

When Carlo gets out to the room where the rest of the initiates are, he is told he has to learn to shoot a gun. He had never even touched a gun before, much less shot one. Amity- where he was from- is the faction of peace. They didn't believe in using anything that would disrupt peace. |

Oceana looks scared for a second, but the emotion quickly leaves her face an body language. She's never touched a gun, but has had one pointed at her numerous times. She grew up having a deathly fear of guns, and couldn't imagine herself pointing one at another being.
The instructor leads the group to a roof where they will be practicing shooting at the target. He demonstrates how to shoot a gun, and then has everyone participate.

Carlo picks up the gun. His hands are surprisingly steady. He lifts the gun and aims at the target. The instructor, Jake, tells them to fire when ready. Carlo pulls the trigger and misses the target on his first shot. His second shot makes it more towards the top of the target and his third nearly in the middle of the target. |

Oceana, not once hits her target. She's hit other people's targets, but not her own. She glares at someone who yelled at her for hitting his target, unhappy that it'll bring down her score, and possibly get her kicked out of Dauntless.

Carlo was genuinely shocked when he hit the target, and by the fact that Oceana hadn't managed to hit it herself. Jake tells everyone to put down their guns. |

Oceana hurriedly puts it down and backs off away from it, not at all happy that she had to even touch it, let alone shoot it at a target shaped like a human. Who would even do that? She looks at Jake, hoping he doesn't make a fool of her.

Jake seems slightly distracted when everyone puts down their guns. Carlo looks around the room to try and find out why. There was a boy, not too much shorter than him, who had accendentally been shot by a stray bullet, right in the shoulder. "Someone take him to the infirmary." Jake said sternly. |

After they were dismissed, Carlo headed down to the infirmary to check on the boy that was down there. He sat down next to the boy's bed and made sure he was alright. "Your Amity is showing." Said someone jokingly from behind him. |

"Your Amity is showing," Oceana said behind him, moving to sit next to him. (Occ: ^-^) "They just took out the bullet. He'll rest for an hour or so before they release him. He'll be excused from fighting for a week."

Carlo nods and then stands up. He walks over to Oceana. "Since we don't have anything else going on for the rest of today, do you want to go to the tattoo parlor?" He asks. At the moment, he didn't have any tattoos, but he figured it would make him look tougher. It was just a thought in his head though, so maybe not. |
